Jeff’s Thought – Our Freedom is only one Generation away from over!

When our Freedom is in question and the sole needs rejuvenation as to what Freedom is and built on. Here is just a few reminder’s of what Freedom means to all man kind in many different country’s and moments in time.

Scotland, Wallace:
“Fight and you may die. Run and you’ll live — at least a while. And dying in your beds many years from now,
would you be willing to trade all the days from this day to that for one chance, just one chance to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they’ll never take our freedom!!!”

Had to post this clip as sometimes Hollywood let’s a great scene slip out! 

America, Reagan:
“Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.”

South African, Mandela:
“For to be free is not merely to cast off one’s chains, but to live in a wat that respects and enhances the freedom of others.”

Canadian, Diefenbaker:
“A free Canadian, free to speak without fear, free to worship in my own way, free to stand for what I think right, free to oppose what I believe wrong, or free to choose those who shall govern my country. This heritage of freedom I pledge to uphold for myself and all mankind”

I think Diefenbaker said it best for all nations! We are all ‘WE THE PEOPLE’ somewhere!
Churchill said, ” When your going through Hell, KEEP GOING!” Malcolm X said, ” If you’re not ready to die for it, put the word ‘freedom’ out of your vocabulary.”

I’ll wrap this up with one of my favorite Freedom quotes from history by Benjamin Franklin, He Said “Freedom is not a gift bestowed upon us by other men, but a right that belongs to us by the laws of God and Nature.”

Now many of these statements are from mouths of Men, But the best complement to Women I have ever read came from a very unusual person Brigham Young, He said ” You educate a man; you educate a man. You educate a woman; you educate a generation.”

Keep FREEDOM in your hearts and spread freedom as it was love! May God Bless us all!
